SUMMARY- There are 40 snowflake patterns packed into this book! The black-and-white photos are crisp and clear - you can count the stitches if you need to from them, though I never had any problems with any of the instructions. I've made a LOT of snowflakes from this book - it's been my "Go To" for this ornament for most of my tatting life. The inclusion of the blocking diagrams for 5-point stars and 6-point flakes is also extremely useful, and I don't know why no one else includes them in their snowflake book. I photocopied a dozen of each in different sizes, and use them when I starch and block my ornaments so that they dry in uniform shape - it makes blocking so much easier, and I don't have to pull out my compass and protractor every time I need a template. I'm always pressed for time, so time-savers like this impress me. I remember being very excited when Mrs. Sunderman's book found its way to the shelves of my local fabric store. I doubt it had been on the shelf for an hour.
