SUMMARY- I was finally able to find an original of this gem. Adeline was a prolific designer, but primarily for crochet. She was no slouch in the tatting department either. Instructions are in teeny tiny print and in written notation - very typical of the time. It amazes me women weren't blind by the time they were 30 trying to read the type faces of the time. Look at any women's magazine or craft book from the 1860s on up to the 1950s and you'll need a magnifying glass - which may well have been a necessary companion for anyone who wished to read back then. Photos are black-and-white and show the samples fairly well. There are some really lovely patterns in here and you get a great variety. Reproductions are easily available on-line.
