SUMMARY- You get several lovely patterns - quality was strived for over quantity. It is interesting to note that almost all the patterns(the collar was the exception) had linen centers. Judith Connors mentioned in a post on Crafttree that during the war, fine threads that could be used for tatting and crochet were a lot more scarce, and the addition of linen centers helped ladies stretch what there was. Norma Benporath was a gifted designer who published mainly in magazines, with little booklets like this one being put out by the thread manufacturers to promote their threads. I don't have many of them, to my sorrow. This one was donated to the Bibliography Project - Thank You.
Norma Benporath passed away in 1998 at 97 years old. Elgiva Nicholls rather infamously claimed she was already dead decades before.
