SUMMARY- Lovely collection of crochet patterns. It has struck me that I never find tatting patterns in books of larger projects like this one. I grew up with a tatted heirloom tablecloth my great great grandmother had tatted. Grandma only brought it out for Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner. It was all tiled motifs like most crochet tablecloths. I had worked out the pattern at one point in my teens, but have apparently lost it since. My mother and I looked for the tatted things she used to keep in her cedar chest, but they were gone by the time we were able to search for it. My grandmother's mind was slipping badly before anyone noticed, so I have to hope that a cousin has it and it wasn't just thrown away.
