SUMMARY- I've truncated the Table of Contents a bit, only giving the main chapter headings. Tatting gets a paragraph, and on the facing page, a photo of a traditional square motif used to make an antimacassar. You get excellent photo examples of a very wide variety of laces, with brief descriptions. If you are looking for a brief survey, this books for you.
NOTE: According to "30 Years of Shire Publications" by John Rotheroe, 4900 copies of this book were in the original and 1984 print runs. I do not know how many were printed for the 1994 reprint.
