SUMMARY- I always buy Thunder Bay kits without hesitation - they're always well thought out and fun. I have a lot of their origami kits! This small yellow cube was no exception. I do have one small complaint with this one, but it's more to do with my limitations than any flaw in the kit. I am mostly blind. The book that came with the kit is less than 3" in any given direction - and they printed it in light blue ink. The print had to be very tiny in order to be able to cram as much as they did into the book. This makes it very hard for me to read, and would give me eye strain and a nagging headache for a day. That said, I ended up playing with this set for several hours despite needing to get a lot of other things done. This would be an awesome stocking stuffer at Christmas, or to give to kids for a long car ride(assuming they're not prone to getting car sick).
This kit comes in a nice cube box with a clear plastic cube inside to hold all the pieces. The two tans are magnetic, and are different colors on each side so you get 4 to choose from - red, yellow, green and blue! There's also a game board of nine pieces of laminated cardboard that fits together like a jigsaw puzzle. One side is blank yellow and the other side has a tangram figure to make putting together the puzzle easier.
