SUMMARY- It's the Batiks that mom always went to first when we went fabric shopping. She would stroke them as we all do, then regretfully move on to the sale table. I'm sure there were a metric ton of Batiks in mom's extensive fabric stash. I did not get a chance to look at the fabric in the many 2x2x2' square moving boxes she'd put it all in other than to verify that each color of the rainbow had its own box, with extras for the runover. If I'd looked, I'd have never stopped crying about having to let it all go. I love fabric as much as the next sewer, and mom clearly had a magnificent collection. Anyway, this book uses Batiks specifically to good attention. She also has a magnificent stash, and I think you would have to have a magnificent stash to fully use the patterns - or you will have once you've bought enough fabrics to make one of these designs. They're beautiful, but keep in mind the high investment necessary to achieve them. Batiks are not cheap.
