SUMMARY- I had to keep reminding myself when this was written. Things like Bargello, Color Wash and Stained Glass hadn't been named and codified yet in the quilting world(so of course they're missing from this dictionary). What this book is useful for is to give you a snapshot of the 1980's quilting scene - and it has a ton of traditional patterns named in a handy index in the back of the book. As a dictionary, it isn't as useful as it should be(because it's over 30 years out of date!). I really enjoyed reading through it nonetheless.
