SUMMARY- Mariner's Compass fascinates me, so I was eager to take a look at my first book on the design - so, so Happy! I was completely gobsmacked by ALL the quilts presented. This is as much a gallery book as a project book(which encourages you drafting your own designs), and showcases entrants to the Museum of the American Quilter's Society 1997 annual contest "New Quilts from Old Favorites". It's theme for 1997 was, of course, the Mariner's Compass. You will not believe the eye candy here - tons of inspiration, and useful tutorials from some of the artists. You won't be disappointed.
