SUMMARY- The introduction says there is an instructional DVD that comes with the book that gives videos on how to fold each model. The DVD isn't advertised on the cover, and I can't find anywhere in my copy where a DVD pocket might have been glued or bound in. The DVD was also supposed to have some files for origami papers you could print out on your home printer. If you bought this new, would you contact me and let me know if you got the DVD with yours?
There is a really cool bookmark in the back of the book that you can scan, print and fold that will act as a handy reference for all his folding symbols - so you won't have to flip back and forth between chapters. I LOVE this feature. Mr. Coleman, you are a very clever man.
This all said, most of the models didn't really appeal to me - I had to stare at each one for a bit to "see" the animal it was supposed to represent. His pigeon looks like a great velociraptor, though. This is a 101 book, so the folds are supposed to be simple - and they are. I think anyone could follow this book's instructions, and the aesthetics of the finished pieces is purely subjective. As I'm fond of saying, your mileage may vary.
