SUMMARY- I played around with tanning rabbit furs one summer when I was a kid(we had domestic rabbits we raised for meat, and I thought it a waste to discard the pelts). This was the book I got from the library to learn how to do it. My results weren't what I'd envisioned, but I didn't have the tools or many of the chemicals recommended and I had to make do with the descriptions of the more primitive methods. The book does take you step by step through the processes and explains the steps clearly. I think if I'd had better tools, I'd have done a better job! It was still interesting work, and even knowing how labor-intensive it is, I'd try my hand at it again.
