CRAFTOOL COMPANY
Craftool Company, founded in 1947 by Dick McGahen, was a pivotal point in the leathercrafting industry. By mass-producing stamping and leatherworking tools, he made them affordable to hobbyists and amateur crafters and artists. His company also published a great many "How To" books, leaflets and pattern packs to encourage the sale of his tools, very much modeled on the success of the thread mills and their helpful series of pattern books. This model worked extremely well here too.
