BETTER HOMES & GARDENS

Better Homes & Gardens has been a well-loved and widely circulated magazine since 1925. It began in 1922 as "Fruit, Garden and Home" but changed its name to the one we recognize in 1925. Meredith Corporation, the publishing house, was named after its founder, Edwin Meredith. The "flagship" periodical covers cooking, gardening, and interior decorating, with tons and tons of advertisements. I don't buy it because I feel like I'm buying the ads, not articles. For me, their claim to fame are their special interest books and magazines. They have excelled at putting out amazing full-color, well-written, and jam-packed craft projects of all stripes. I've collected many of their books and special interest magazines for the tatting projects - but they've never done a book or periodical with just tatting in it. I only get a pattern here and there. Crochet, on the other hand, gets a lot of love... Here's a link to: BETTER HOMES & GARDENS
