SUMMARY- Felt is a very sturdy forgiving fabric that comes in a wild assortment of colors. He recommends a synthetic/wool blend or wool felt if you can find it. He does have bear projects that look like bears(the ones on the cover don't look like bears to me). His construction methods are simple, and while he hand sews his projects, I don't see any reason you can't sew them on a sewing machine. The projects are creative, and indeed, cute. You can see from the Table of Contents just how many projects there are, and his patterns are well marked so that if you photocopy them, you won't have to spend an hour just labeling the pieces to make sure you are using the right ones. Only one bad note - his large templates commit the cardinal sin of crossing the ditch, so getting an undistorted photocopy will be impossible unless you destroy the binding of the book.
