Title: A World of Dolls That You Can Make
Author: Lynn Edelman Schnurnberger
Publication Date: TPB:1982
Publisher: Harper & Row, NY
Page Count: 113
Book Dimensions(ht. x w.): 10" x 8"
ISBN: 0060252316
PATTERN RATING: Patterns are very basic, with few markings to aid the sewer or crafter. They are all full size, however, and are an ecclectic mix that isn't run-of-the-mill. I teetered between 2 and 3 stars because of this.
INSTRUCTION RATING: Instructions are broken down into numbered steps, usually accompanied by a black/white photo of a school-age child making the doll in question. You get some illustration other than that, but not as much as you'd wish for a book that seems geared toward kids using it.
SUMMARY- The book had interest for me because of its variety. I was particularly taken with the Fortune Telling Doll. I had never heard it referenced before, and I like the interactive quality it has. Despite the lowish ratings, I still think this book was worth the price of admission.
