PATTERN RATING:Star Rating All of the patterns are full-size, and while the grainline arrows and seam allowances are missing, there is a good amount of markings to aid the crafter otherwise. Mrs. Hutchings uses the old A-B-C method of marking. There are a lot of patterns here, as you can see from the table of contents, and they are all grouped together in a section at the end of the main chapters.

INSTRUCTION RATING:Star Rating The instructions are broken down into numbered steps and have some illustration to go with them.

SUMMARY- If you're looking to make up Beatrix Potter characters, you can't go wrong with this book - so long as you already have some experience in toy-making. Margaret Hutchings' designs are not for the novice beginner, but they are something to aspire to.
