SUMMARY- Despite being 50 years old as of this review, I still think a lot of creative enjoyment could be gotten from this book, as the base puppets allow a jumping off point for any modern embellishments to make your puppets your own - and the ideas for keeping someone hospitalized or just home sick for a day entertained and mind off the illness are well worth the price of admission. There is some dated language that might offend modern sensibilities(Frightfully Fat Freddie, Fearfully Fat Freda) - but nothing like polliwogs or Aunt Jemima's. There are no photos of the puppets except for the cover pic - all the inside examples are illustrated. Instructions are well broken down and simple to follow.
