SUMMARY- The photograph glued to the cover is the only picture you get of the patterns made up. You can get a general impression of the Set from it, but it will not help you at all if the instructions stump you. She uses modern notation for the pattern instructions, and breaks them down well so they are easy to follow. She is decorating denim in this book, and employing split rings. She directs you to the Dover reprints of Anne Orr's books for instruction in this technique. Here are the patterns: You get trims for pockets, buttonholes, collar points and cuffs. I like the designs and am really pleased to add this one to my collection. I have a lot of jeans that could use some sprucing up!
I had to order this one and three other of her books directly from her - they've never been distributed otherwise. The good news is, she's got plans to update her books and work out new patterns now that she has retired and gotten the kids out of the house. I look forward to seeing what else she creates.
