SUMMARY- These are great books to start off with. They are inexpensive and have patterns useful today. She doesn't use the most modern notation or diagrams, but explains her notation. If you're going to be working up any old Workbasket patterns, I highly recommend Ms. Rizzo's books for learning the notation typically used in them and other period publications. Good books for beginners with motifs that work up quickly for fast rewards. There is a black-and-white photo for each project.
