SUMMARY- This is a neat collection of craft disciplines that came out during a time period when there was a frenzy of crafting that continued to evolve to the present, where the internet and Youtube have taken over the task of disseminating basic instruction. Mary Konior was on the list of contributors for the tatting article, and David Constable, another name I recognize(he published some of my favorite candle-making books) for the candlemaking article. The tatting patterns given are very basic: Handkerchief Edging, String Belt, Pillowcase Edging, Linen Traycloth Edging/Insertions. The patterns use the old written notation.

From the line-up of contributors, it is clear the book was first published in England, and mine is a later reprint for the USA.
