Title: Il Chiacchierino, Vol. III
SUMMARY- The four page beginner's lesson on tatting in the front of the first book has been cut down to one page. You get: (2)Towel Edgings, (7)square motifs to make try mats, a strip pattern to make tray mats, a large linen center doily with a round insertion at the center(linen is a donut of fabric), a "quilt block" pattern put together by strips of edging surrounding each "block", a set of sunflower doilies(2 sizes), edging for a linen placemat, a collar, and an edging for a Peter Pan collar, a round placemat setting(3 sizes), a hexagonal motif for tray mat, a linen center oval doily with pointed ends and a triangular cut-in insertion on the points of the linen center, another placemat edging with rosettes as a recurring motif, and a wine glass coaster that is square with a round linen center - a lot of patterns are packed into this 32 page booklet. Some look familiar to me, some do not. It is written in Italian, and there are no diagrams, so you'll either have to run the directions through a translator and cross your fingers, or make a friend who reads Italian translate it for you. Still a lot of eye candy here, in good black-and-white photographs on gloss paper throughout. |
