SUMMARY- On the inside cover you get a legend of French and German tatting terms, and a poem by Dayna L. Winter called "A Prayer for Tatters" that was originally published in her "Tatter Tales" newsletter. The patterns you get: Window Shade Trim, Lamp Shade Trim, Tatted Soap Hanger(loved this one!), Wall Posie Cone, Sachet Wrap, Stationery Wrap, Tatted Baby Set(not clothes - it's a doily and Brush and Comb motifs), Cross Bookmark, and a Pincushion Top for a sewing box. I think if you are comfortable with the basics, you will be able to follow any of the patterns here. I was especially taken with the Tatted Soap Hanger, which reminds me of covered Christmas balls - only a lot more useful! That alone was worth the price of admission for me.
