SUMMARY- This is a reproduction of the 1953 original published by P.T. Branford. It has a very brief three sentence description of tatted lace on page 37, and no more references after that. This is a book for collectors, not crafters, and is a great collection of samples of just about any other kind of lace you can come up with. It's an enjoyable read if you like history books, but provides no patterns for any of the work.
