SUMMARY- While the original Danish is there, there are translations of everything into English. She also includes good diagrams, which need no translation. Patterns are not written out. She employs several more advanced techniques in this book like the cluny leaf, Maltese ring, and self-closing mock ring. There are 12 motifs given - all very different from each other. I love what cluny leaves adds to tatting. The Firenze Motif was worth the price of admission for me, and this was a fairly pricey book. Almost all the books from overseas are, so I have to be more discriminate in my buying habits. But I like Iris Niebach's work - she never disappoints. This isn't a book I'd hand to a novice tatter, but if you are an experienced tatter, you'll love these designs.
