SUMMARY- This book is written entirely in German. I ran across it several years after buying the 2011 edition, which has the beautiful tatted peacock on the cover. I thought the 2011 edition must be a reprint, then hesitated on this when I saw there were different page counts - so I bought it anyway after resisting for several years. I should have stuck to my original thought. The reprint has everything this edition does, plus some extra patterns added, including the two amazine peacock patterns. The revised edition also has a few extra color photos tipped in.
The designers use diagrams as well as written instructions, and give good black-and-white photos of each completed design. There are quite a few sophisticated edgings and collars, a handful of motifs, and a couple distinctive jewelry designs. I strongly recommend looking for the 2011 edition that includes 24 pages of extra material and patterns.
