SUMMARY- This is the only book of Ms. Ozawa's that I've come across - don't know if there is a "Tatting 1" and "Tatting 2", or this is just one of the disciplines she publishes. There is a simple but well drawn tutorial for basic tatting, samples of typical basic edgings leading up to simple joined ring edgings, and then a short tutorial for node stitches and making that more complex with a "skip rope" of picots that gives an unique look to the node stitch. She then shows you dimpled rings, zigzag, and simple beading. All the instructions are in Japanese, but there are diagrams with the patterns. If you have a good grasp of the basics, you shouldn't have any trouble following the patterns. There's a large motif, (8)Edgings, (7)motifs, a large doily(see cover), and a square motif that will tile well.
