SUMMARY- Tatting chapter is pages 355-379. My copy of this book is pounded, brittle and foxed, with maybe 10 pages or so missing from the back - the rest of the extensive index and probably some advertising along with the back cover. I've had to handle it very carefully, and am considering how best to scan the extensive tatting article without further damaging the book - it may not be possible. I think the chapter may be worth scanning and putting up for others with an interest in the history of tatting(or if you need to see other articles, simply contact me). The article contains a fairly thorough and well illustrated shuttle tatting lesson (prepared by the publishers of "Florence Home Needle-work") with patterns from "The Housekeeper" appended. Patterns from "Florence Home Needle-work": Detached Scallops, Scallops Joined at Top, Scallops with Picots, (2)Tatted Insertions, Edging of Tatting and Crochet, (2)Tatted Edgings, Round Medallion, Wide Insertion of Tatting and Crochet, Edging of Tatting and Crochet, 12pt. Medallion, Wide Edging; Patterns from "The Housekeeper": Everlasting Insertion, Clover-leaf Edging, Duchess Lace, Bessie Lace, Wheel for Tidy, Rosette for Yoke or Insertion, Star Edging, Empress Insertion, Euphemia Lace, Rosette, Square, Handkerchief Border, Child's Collar, Vandyke Collar.
