SUMMARY- This book gives a great introduction of the history of tatting, including details like Anne Orr's development of the split-ring technique - it's worth picking up this book for the introduction alone! But there also happens to be a really lovely selection of heart patterns. I picked this up too late to do valentine cards this year, but know I'll use it in the future. Directions are very well broken down and she includes diagrams as well as a good black-and-white photo of each project. Knowing the split-ring technique is essential for many of the patterns.
