SUMMARY- There's some great photography of all the samples - large full-page color photos that are very crisp. The tatted Coffee Table Mat is a large round piece with a honeycomb interior and round tiles around the edge. The tatted Table Runner is made up entirely of a 2 3/4"(7cm) square tile. Instructions are broken down only by rows. The full-page color photos and the instructions are in two different places, so if you want to look at the photo for reference, you'll have to do some page flipping. The patterns are traditional. Both are anchor patterns, but I can't tell you at the moment whether any or all of the patterns are reprints from earlier books. If you are multi-discplined, this is a great find.

I had a hard time deciding where to file this book in the bibliography. It has the Susan Bates and Anchor trademarks on the cover - who provided the patterns and materials for this book, but it was copyrighted by J&P Coats. It was publihsed by a British company. Please forgive me if you had trouble finding this entry!
