SUMMARY- The tatting techniques and projects were written and designed by Kathie Ballard, a well known artist in the tatting community. The project is a heart-shaped box that you can make large or small depending on the size thread you use. The instructions are in written notation, similar to what was used in "Workbasket" magazine, and like the magazine instructions, they aren't broken down very well. There are no diagrams. You do get some nice color photos, one of which is large enough you can count stitches. There are other really beautiful patterns in this book for other disciplines - it's a great potpourri with something for just about everyone. I was really pleased to browse through this book, and really must find one for the collection!
