SUMMARY- The three pattern groups in the Christmas ornament section were organized by the skills necessary to tat them. She incorporated several advanced skills in her designs like dimpled rings and chains, split ring, self-closing mock rings, node stitch, split chains, and pearl rings and chains. She explains all the different advanced techniques(with pictures) in her technique glossary. There are no diagrams, but her instructions are well broken down and easy to read. She provides a legend so that you can interpret her written instructions. This isn't a good book for a beginner, but there are about 40 different cabone ring ornaments that would look well on any tree. If you are an experienced tatter, or adventurous and willing to learn, this is a great find. I'm happy I was able to borrow this from the IOLI lending library, and will be keeping a keen eye open for a copy to add to my own collection.
