SUMMARY- All interior photographs are black-and-white. So it turns out a firegrate is something you put in your fireplace so you can burn coal instead of wood. Ranges were another fireplace accessory that allowed you to cook there more conveniently.
Shire Publications always includes a reading list and a visitor or museum listing where you can see real examples of the subject matter of the issue. I love that feature of these books and think it's worth the price of admission all by itself!
