SUMMARY- All interior photographs are black-and-white - this may be a downside, if any of the lighthouses shown are not actually black-and-white themselves. One of the few things I do know about lighthouses is that they are all visually different in order to inform ships exactly where they are along the coast. You get an overview of Britain's lighthouses, the science behind those vital lighting systems and a very cool map with the locations of all the lighthouses around England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland.
I love that they always give you a list of further reading and places you can visit to help satisfy your curiosity on the subject. If I were ever able to take a real vacation, I would do it with a handful of these books in hand!
