SUMMARY- All interior photographs are black-and-white. You get a cliff notes overview of farm equipment used in the UK up to the time when steam became the workhorse. This is the very first of the Shire Album books, and I wanted to see where this all began. It was an interesting read(I was a farm kid, so most of this didn't look completely alien to me!).
Shire Publications always includes a reading list and a visitor or museum listing where you can see real examples of the subject matter of the issue. I love that feature of these books and think it's worth the price of admission all by itself!
