SUMMARY- Instructions are well broken down and easy to follow, and there's a black-and-white quilt diagram that you can photocopy so you can break out the colored pencils and plan your quilt without having to draw out a schematic yourself. It's not all "quick and easy" stuff - there's some challenging patterns that are absolutely amazing. I was especially impressed with "Yankee Barter," a feathered star medallion quilt with some pretty intricate applique and trapunto thrown in for good measure. The thing I liked most about this book is that they did not ignore the quilting - there's a LOT of gorgeous quilting throughout the book, all appropriate for the project being quilted. My second favorite was "Carnation Carousel" wall quilt - also a combination of piecework, applique and trapunto, so I'm beginning to see a pattern here...
