SUMMARY- This book is about the scherenschnitte work of Henri Matisse. I'm sure if I were a real artist I'd be more enthusiastic. With scherenshnitte I like intricacy and precision and his work is the exact opposite of that. He reminds me most of Picasso - an artist I also have no appreciation for. Matisse worked in colored paper for this collection. On the back cover he has a beautiful woman posing for him - presumably to produce some of what is in this book. Your mileage in this matter, of course, may vary.
