SUMMARY- You get one piece of paper bound into the book with a perforated line where you can detach them to use for each project. Instructions are necessarily small and cramped, so it gave me a headache just trying to read them(I have very poor vision). This is a more kid-friendly book, with models that would pique their interest. I was fortunate to find one with all the paper still intact. The papers are beautiful and well suited to the project they were chosen for. I was a little surprised to find Santa and a Christmas Tree among the offerings - I don't really think of them as traditional Japanese holidays, and these books were created to teach the West a little Japanese culture. But I don't think of ties as part of Japanese traditional culture, so maybe they were going for a fusion of traditional and modern? Still a lovely set of patterns to try out if you're new to origami.
