SUMMARY: I'm a big fan of Teri Dusenbury's designs and think she's genius. She in turn was a big proponent of Dora Young's patented split chain and spent a lot of time in her newsletters extolling the genius of her hero. I agree wholeheartedly with Mrs. Dusenbury on this and on many other things. She was a strong proponent for protecting copyright and was not afraid to speak her mind. She also shares my deep regrets that for great periods of time it was standard operating procedure to file off any designer credits when publishing needlework designs in magazines. Her periodicity was eratic - but unlike every other publisher("professional" OR self) it wasn't because she often ran late. Quite the opposite - she often combined issues ahead of schedule to buy herself time for other things. It still left long gaps where nothing new was coming in the mail, and that will harm a struggling periodical's circulation. I don't know if this was true of "TATtle TALES". What I do know is that I regret that it didn't run much longer than it did. She gave great book reviews, original designs in every issue, and spoke her mind about important matters in the tatting community. She scorns needle tatting, she's funny, and she often wore her heart on her sleeve. I enjoyed reading all of her editorial letters and articles and got a chance to fall in love with her designs all over again. Thank you, Mrs. Dusenbury, for sharing your views and your talent. I admire you.

This page was possible solely due to an anonymous donation of an original collection. The only issues missing were the first and the last of "TATtle TALES". Thank you so much for making this page possible.

Mrs. Dusenbury has a great website where many of her patterns may be downloaded: http://teridusenburystattletales.blogspot.kr/

Here's a photogallery of her designs: http://picasaweb.google.com/aeonspider/tattingbracelets#

THE TATTED PINEAPPLE TREASURE BAG
Pub. Date: 1994
Size(htxwdth): 11" X 8 1/2"
Page Count: 27
Notes: This is the script that accompanied a 2-hour video that showed you how to tat the bag. I don't have the video, but I treasure the script. I've always been enthralled with pineapple crochet, and pineapple tatting, while rare, is just as amazing. I consider Ms. Dusenbury's some of the best.
