SUMMARY- I love love Love this book. I never get tired of rereading it. I consider it a "must have" for any candle maker. It covers esoteric things like mordanting your own wicks. It gives little anecdotes - historical, literary, and cultural - scattered in little asides in the margins throughout. It covers the types of waxes and the additives used to get certain effects. It goes over how to create your own essential oils for scenting candles. It gives all the little details you want to know about candles and why those details can be important. This book proves the tennet that you really can't judge a book by its cover.
