SUMMARY- This is a good basic book, heavily illustrated(pencils?), and covers a nice selection of techniques. There are other books that do it better - but check out the copyright date. The di Valentins knew their stuff(example- they put a core candle in their lace candle(ice cube) to keep the wick from simply burning through the candle because there isn't sufficient wax surrounding the wick to support the chimney effect. I've seen several books that failed to mention this important detail!) It's a nice book to have on my shelf if only for the lovely illustrations.
