PATTERN RATING: Star Rating. Pattern pieces are full-sized with 3/16th seam allowance not marked on the patterns themselves. All of the patterns are for working with felt. The patterns have minimal markings. Despite the simplicity of the patterns, the toys have a lot of character and charm. They are colorful and funny perfect for kids.

INSTRUCTION RATING:Star Rating. Despite the large illustrations that go with the instructions, I found them a little rushed and difficult to follow at times. If you don't already have a good idea of what you're doing, you could run into small difficulties. There are actually places where the instructions tell you to invent the nose/hair/salient feature before adding it, without much guidance as to how to go about inventing the feature. If you're someone who needs an exact recipe, this book probably isn't for you.

SUMMARY- I didn't really get anything new out of this book other than a collection of patterns I like, that I think my nieces and nephews would have fun with.
