PATTERN RATING:Star Rating There aren't really patterns to go with this book - you effectively have to draw your own, along with clothes to fit the size of the doll you decide to make.

INSTRUCTION RATING:Star Rating Instructions are very well done, with lots of illustration to support the steps given.

BONUS MECHANICS RATING:Star Rating The dolls given are all in different mediums and quite different from each other. She gives detailed instructions on how to make each type of doll, but patterns and details are up to the crafter to create.

SUMMARY- I found the approach to this book very interesting and engaging - but I've never met a pattern I didn't end up "improving" as I worked with it, so creating from scratch isn't a big leap for me. If you are just looking for doll patterns, this probably isn't for you, but if you are interested in designing your own, you may want to check this book out.
