PATTERN RATING:Star Rating There is such a huge variety of projects here - the directory is a gallery of full page color photos of all the finished designs so you can see them all together. This is useful if you're trying to gauge the size relative to other patterns you've made up from the book. There is also a color photo of each individual design with the instruction page.

INSTRUCTION RATING:Star Rating Instructions are well broken down. Font is a little small for those of us with poor eyesight, but I don't imagine it would be hard to blow up a page of instruction on a copy machine. Making-up instructions are fairly short and to the point - if you aren't already comfortable with the terminology and have basic skills, the instructions aren't going to help you.

SUMMARY- There is such a large and colorful variety of patterns here! They may not be as polished as I might wish - but life is messy, right? I particularly like the seaweed scarf. If you're a crocheter and enjoy a nautical motif, this is a great book to have for your collection.
