PATTERN RATING:Star Rating You get two doll patterns and a dog pattern in this book at the back. They are pretty well marked except for grainline. and look fun without being terribly complicated(no individual toes or fingers, hinge joints). You get a great photo of each finished project to refer to.

INSTRUCTION RATING:Star Rating Instructions aren't broken down very much, but they do have thorough illustration to go with the trickier parts.

SUMMARY- The patterns are sort of tacked on to the end of the book. This is more of a collector's book, and has scads of wonderful color photos throughout of all the different types of dolls of the time period. I was a little shocked to see a smoker doll, and it really brought home the idea that these dolls really were meant for adults to play with. Ms. Oroyan as usual made her subject both accessible and fascinating.
