PATTERN RATING:Star Rating There are 3 different patterns plus a miniature bear pattern. patterns have a few markings to help the sewer, and the fur direction is marked on each piece. .

INSTRUCTION RATING:Star Rating Instructions are well broken down and easy to follow, with photos of each step to help the crafter - I don't think you can get better than that.

BONUS MECHANICS RATING:Star Rating This book gets a couple of bonus stars for covering bear design for people who wish to create their own.

SUMMARY- This is a technical book rather than a project book - though it could be used as project book easily enough. It does a very thorough job of teaching the basic techniques when creating a bear, and the gallery is stuffed full of artist's conceptions of teddy bears - there is nothing generic about these bears! I highly recommend this book as a "must have" to anyone thinking about designing their own bears.
