PATTERN RATING:Star Rating Patterns are all full-sized and well marked - except for grainline. There is a wide variety and they are full of character - nothing generic about these toys! There are a few color plates to supplement the front cover, but no photos otherwise of the toys made up.

INSTRUCTION RATING:Star Rating Instructions are broken down by parts, then by numbered steps, and they are very well illustrated.

SUMMARY- The dolls are pretty simple pancake construction with only a few gussetted toys. But the details that turn them into characters are wonderful and different enough from any other book I've seen (and I've seen hundreds) to be really worthwhile for my library. I was really happy to find this book, and I think you would be too.
