PATTERN RATING:Star Rating I agonized over whether to give 3 or 4 stars. If I'd been tired or grumpy, it could have gone the other way. You get a great variety of patterns for girl dolls. Patterns are full-size, but don't have a lot of markings(no grainline!), so if you don't know what you're doing, you could get in trouble. Patterns are all collected in the back of the book separate from the instrucions. You not only get clothing patterns, but a plethora of accessories and furniture to go with them!

INSTRUCTION RATING:Star Rating Instructions are very well broken down, and you get a lot of great illustration to go with them. You get a great photo of the finished room and clothing.

SUMMARY- I'm never disappointed with Ms. Hind's books - they're all so well executed, and her designs have beautiful detail. If you are a fan of the American Girl dolls and want to make your own wardrobe for her, Ms. Hinds' books are a "must have". Ms. Hinds also puts out a quarterly newsletter that includes patterns(check magazine section under "Fancywork and Fashion"). You can subscribe from her website.
