Princess of Hearts
Title: Twelve Dancing Princes: Sewing Regal Costumes for 18" Dolls Author: Joan Hinds, Jean Becker
Publication Date: TPB:1998
Publisher: Fancywork and Fashion Press, Duluth, MN
Page Count: 72
Book Dimensions(ht. x w.): 8 1/2" x 11"
PATTERN RATING: Patterns are full-size and include a seam allowance that is not marked on the pattern pieces(I had to go hunt it down in the general instructions) and no grainline markings(pet peeve of mine). Despite this, they get an extra star because of the extra Prince pattern included with the twelve princesses - and the princesses are delightful in their variety of dress. If you're looking for a choice in regal attire, this is your book.
INSTRUCTION RATING: Instructions are well broken down and easy to follow. You get good illustration to help you.
SUMMARY- So far as I can determine, Joan Hinds can't publish a bad book. I only have four as of this writing, but intend to eventually have the entire run(and there are quite a few now!) This one in particular appealed to me, and I was completely jazzed to discover the Prince costume included.
