BONUS MECHANICS RATING:Star Rating There is a lot of solid basic information in this book that even experienced sewers could probably pick up something useful by reviewing, but the the most exciting chapter is the last one, where she goes through the steps of making a realistic Macaw, complete with photos of her steps.

SUMMARY- This book is aimed at beginners and intermediate sewers and a useful book to have. I really adored the photo of the replica sewing machine she put on the cover - it looks a lot like the antique treadle sewing machine I learned to sew on when I was 9. Ms. Hall is an amazing artist and an even better teacher. I was really happy to find a copy of this book.
