PATTERN RATING: Star Rating. There are no patterns in this book to rate, but ooh-la-la, the photographs are amazing. She shows scads of examples of techniques by a very wide range of artists that are just amazing to look at.

INSTRUCTION RATING:Star Rating. The instructions aren't for making up patterns, but rather for the wide range of techniques she goes over. She doesn't go into any of them in particularly great depth, but she does manage to cover a lot of interesting ground.

BONUS MECHANICS RATING:Star Rating. This is a book I treasure for its wealth of examples and layout. She goes into good detail on turning fabric into various shapes and how that applies to what you're trying to create.
